This is an exceptionally written book by a young woman who faced death, not just in an instant but for everyday for years as all cancer victims face. It is extraordinary in its candor and forthright manner, but in a human way. This book will help many cancer victims and their families and friends cope with an unrelenting enemy...cancer. Sarah Kugler Powers' book "The Exception and the Rule" is a the best book for new cancer patients out there. She gives you an honest story about being on the brink of death with stage IV cancer, and clawing her back to health with a dedicated oncology team, support system, and caregiver. Sarah's story is blunt and at times laugh out loud funny. Not one to be missed for cancer patients and their loved ones.
