If you have allergies and want to try a natural approach this book should be of interest to you. The author gives good advice when stating “If you know what triggers off your allergy and you can't remove it from your environment, learn how to manage the symptoms naturally. Being proactive and initiating treatments before the season starts can help to ensure you have a much nicer experience during the seasonal allergy period and your life is less impacted.” Unlike other types of allergy that can be triggered by a specific allergen all year round, seasonal allergies only occur at certain times of the year.
The recipes appear to be fairly simple, some may send you to a health food store or where Wasabi root, ginger root and unusual mushrooms like Lingzhi are sold. Some simple solutions for allergies are included such as: keep pets off your bed, wash hands after petting animals, remove carpeting from your home if allergies are bad, don’t have flowering plants inside your home since they send out pollens, and fake plants gather dust.
The author includes how to use the shower to help the discomfort from allergies.
A chapter is included as to the natural remedies that can be used to treat various allergy symptoms. My favorite is the cinnamon and vodka to sooth sore throats. Well, my throat does feel itchy everyday and I don’t think it is my imagination. I am off to prepare some sore throat medication and relax.

Its that time of year, you walk out to your car and boom, the color of your car is now yellow from all that pollen. People start sneezing or wearing a mask cutting the grass. If that sounds like you, then this book is also for you. I found this book to be a GREAT reference for anyone with seasonal allergies. I personally(dont judge me) dont have allergies, nor do my children. Even with that being said, this book was still extremely informative for me.
The book begins by describing and discussing what seasonal allergies are,and how they are normally treated with over the counter medications. I knew that some essential oils could be used for allergies but did not have recipes on how to treat an individual who has these allergies. This book has a chapter on them. This book as a matter of fact has a chapter for many treatments. Foods, plants, oils, herbs. Its all in there. Recipes are provided in each chapter on what remedy is being used. The author explains the importance of checking with you doctor to make sure each recipe is safe for you and does not interact with your current medication list. There were many treatments I have never even heard of. I learned alot! I will keep this book as a reference for friends who do have allergies. Maybe I can help treat someone and end the suffering for them.

I was skeptical about a book full of allergy fixes, but now I am looking forward to making some things up and I am definitely going to use the neti pot for nasal rinses.
many things I had already heard about like warm lemon and water drunk in the mornings, and local honey, but there was several things I never heard of, like how to make the red onion water and drink a bit for allergies.
I think this is a neat book, one I will find myself coming to often over allergy seasons.
this book is very comprehensive with different ways to attack the sinus pressure and seasonal allergies some of us suffer with, some suffer more in Summer some more in the fall.
I think some of these herbs and recipes would be easy to make and very helpful, the big plus is not using chemical medications. !
