This book was written at the request of friends who had almost given up on understanding Astrology. I have taught many classes on Astrology, and I was told again and again that it made sense when I explained it. I have tried to capture the essence of the classes that I've taught in these pages. It is my hope that this book will open the way so that you can continue to learn as much as Astrology as you desire.
About the Author
Ivo Domínguez, Jr. is a visionary, and a practitioner of a variety of esoteric disciplines. He has been active in Wicca and the Pagan community since 1978, has been teaching since 1982. Ivo was a founding member, and a past High Priest, of Keepers of the Holly Chalice, the first coven of the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel a Wiccan Tradition. He currently serves as one of the Elders of the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel, a Wiccan syncretic tradition that draws inspiration from Astrology, Qabala, the Western Magickal Tradition and the folk religions of Europe. His techniques and insights are rooted in a synthesis of traditional metaphysical teachings, modern science, and memories from past lives. He has taught at many gatherings, conferences, and venues across the United States and abroad. Ivo is also a professional astrologer who has studied astrology since 1980 and has been offering consultations and readings since 1988. Ivo has been published in numerous periodicals and is the author of Casting Sacred Space: The Core Of All Magickal Work; Spirit Speak: Knowing and Understanding Spirit Guides, Ancestors, Ghosts, Angels, and the Divine; and Beneath the Skins.
He is also one of the creative forces behind Awakening the Dream and A Dream Whose Time Is Coming, two chant CDs that are fundraisers for the New Alexandrian Library Project. He has written over seventy chants and maintains an online pagan chant resource at ivodominguezjr.com. He is one of the owners and stewards of Seelie Court, 102 acres of wooded land in Southern Delaware. The land at Seelie Court is filled with magick and has been consecrated to the purpose of deepening all pagan paths.

As with all of Ivo's books, this is a great read. I am an astrologer, witch and Pagan, and I have yet to find a book of this type that just "pulls it all together." Great job, and highly recommended.

I read through this book in less than a week ...

I read through this book in less than a week but I will be revisiting it, perhaps several times. The first read provided me the information I needed for my immediate purposes, and the exercises stood out as intriguing keys to greater depths that warranted a slower approach. I expect to spend some time working through the suggested practices and then rereading the text. The material is written with clarity and accessibility, yet with every every bite one gets the sense that there are more complex flavors and textures available if they were to slow down or revisit the material. This is also the first book I've read to explain Magic Squares with such enthusiasm and simplicity that I felt inspired to give them more attention.

After years of avoiding astrology because it all sounded like white noise and nonsense to me, I can finally incorporate important celestial events and information into my magickal workings thanks to the thorough explanation in this manual. Ivo paints a landscape in the mind's eye, so if you are a visual learner like me, do not fear the format. I took it slowly, let ideas blossom and folded it into my practice at a rate that was digestible. I recommend this book highly to anyone who practices magick in any tradition, whether you are a novice or consider yourself advanced. I promise you there will be ideas here that you have not yet heard.
