About the Author
Debra Diamond is a former Wall Street money manager and artist who left a high-profile life to pursue one of purpose and spirituality. In 2008, she had a transformational experience that left her with unconventional powers as a clairvoyant and medium. As an investment professional, Debra was a professor at Johns Hopkins University and a regular commentator on CNBC. She was profiled in the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, the Washington Post, the San Francisco Chronicle, and the Baltimore Sun. She has an MBA from George Washington University and is a graduate of Christie's Education and the Jung Institute. The mother of three sons, Debra splits her time between Taos, New Mexico, and the East Coast.

Fantastic!

Fascinating book! Absolutely awe inspiring!
As someone who experienced a NDE at the tender age of 10, too young to have a deep understanding of myself or my gifts and purpose in this world, I have always believed my intuitive ability to know the inner workings of others as an odd mystery. It is both a gift and a curse that I often wanted to “return to sender.” It was a 40 year struggle to accept and learn to handle this extraordinary extra sense.
Ms. Diamond’s work inspires me to reexamine my experience and, most importantly, accept this lifelong ability with greater peace. Her research is admirable. Not only has she nailed the emotional experience of having a NDE, she has delved into realms that are too often tossed aside by both religious and scientific leaders, probing beyond “either/or” into “and also” this is possible.
As a hospice chaplain I hear stories every day of peoples' dance around the veil that separates this world from the next. Ms. Diamond accurately acknowledges and explores the reality that, “The intensity of a NDE is unlike any other experience a person can encounter on earth.”

Fitting the Pieces Together

Having read 50 or 60 books about near-death experiences since reading Dr. Raymond Moody’s seminal work on the subject some 40 years ago, I tend to think that I am well past the point of diminishing returns in gaining additional insight to the phenomenon. Thus, I doubted that I would find anything new in this book. However, I was wrong and pleasantly surprised. In addition to examining the after effects of a dozen interesting NDEs, author Debra Diamond, who claims clairvoyant and clairaudient abilities, offers comments from Spirit that came through as she was interviewing the experiencers.
As an example of a "Spirit" message. a man named Lewis asked why he saw a white, male God during his NDE and not a Buddha or some other figure. “NDEs are administered by an authority figure in the experiencer’s vernacular,” was the response Diamond received. “One they can recognize and respect. For an elite, while male, who would that authority figure be but an Episcopal, white, male God? Someone of Lewis’s world... .” In another case, a man named Ken wondered why he given the choice to come back, it was explained that making the choice interactive causes the experiencer to own the outcome. “They must take responsibility for their lives going forward and live in accordance with the universe once the choice to return has been made,” was the reply.
With an MBA from George Washington University, author Diamond is a former Wall Street investment professional and artist, also having served as a professor at Johns Hopkins University and a regular commentator on CNBC. She states that in 2008 she had a transformational experience that left her with clairvoyant and clairaudient abilities.
In all, Diamond interviewed about 50 experiencers over a three-year period, but narrowed it down to a dozen stories for the book. The book is divided into five part, covering Diamond’s background, the stories of the NDErs, how the NDErs deal with the aftermath of the experience, an examination of more complex cases, and the implications of the NDE for the rest of us.
It is a very intriguing read. My only criticism is that some of the material in the Appendices, especially that describing how Diamond receives the messages, should have been set forth early in the book rather than at the end.
“The more digging I did and the more stories that others shared, the more the pieces fit together,” Diamond ends the book. The book certainly helped me fit several pieces of the puzzle together.

A Transformative Book !

"Life After Near Death " by Debra Diamond explains the dynamics of near death experiences or NDEs. Interviews with people who've had an NDE experience produce all kinds of wonderful descriptions like visions of a blinding light and colorful images of heaven in the afterlife.
Perhaps the greatest experience of a returning NDE participant is a sudden transformation. Some people have a newly developed creativity while others have marvelous new insights or even a higher intellect. Sometimes, people experience stunning musical sounds, a renewed vibrational energy or even a narrowly defined purpose in life.
The NDE is perhaps best articulated by Tesla in the following quote:
"To understand the true nature of the universe, one must think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration."
