About the Author
Raymond M. Binkowski has personally lost over 60 pounds and kept it off for over a 16 years! His waist has gone from 36 inches to 30. This firsthand experience was paramount in starting a successful personal training business in 2001 and the purchase of a health club and sports performance facility in 2007. Today he owns the hybrid training gym FitWorkz. Ray is not the typical gym owner or trainer. He actually went to school for Mechanical Engineering and has not played organized athletics since grade school. As a former fat guy he knows the frustration of being overweight and wanting to make a change, only to fail time and time again. He has shared his personal success and failure to help hundreds improve their health and wellness while losing weight. He is the author Eat by Color, Get Fit and Live Healthy, and Exercise Galore. Ray also has a podcast Get Fit and Live Healthy where he shares information on exercise, nutrition, health lifestyle and more. Get this book!

So, I joined a gym for the first time in my life last week. It was very intimidating, and I was overwhelmed with all the machines and muscley people walking around looking like experts. I got a brief tour when I joined, but if I wanted anything else, I had to pay for a session with a personal trainer. I'm just not ready for that. So, I found this book, and I am so thankful. I put the kindle app on my phone and used the Built for You, Whole Body Basic Program. It was super easy to use. It listed the exercises with a link to a short (like 10 seconds or less) video on how to perform the exercise. After watching the video, you just click done and it takes you right back to the exercises. There's also a Build Your Own Program that is just as easy to use. It also has videos that use the machines, which I will be working my up to. I have just used dumbbells so far, baby steps! I am so thankful to have this book and its ease of use. Instead of making excuses to not go to the gym, I'm making plans for the next time I'm there! Thank you for a great book and a seamless, easy to use format!

Train Away!

Learning how to use weight equipment or to do weight exercises can be confusing the first time you run through them--especially trying to remember the correct form for each exercise. This is a great book for illustrating the exercises and all the right moves. And if you use it online, each move is demonstrated in a video. Good brief description of each exercise and the muscles involved. Handy organization of exercises by areas of the body. Useful appendices on exercise programs and diet. Great idea for a book and well done!

Feeling Stronger!

I wanted to start exercising to maintain my quality of life. Being new to exercise I wanted to make sure I had an idea of what to do. " Exercise Galore" taught me a lot of exercises and gave me some easy workouts. Having a video demonstration and picture of how to do each exercise was a big help.
